We have experienced and qualified staff ready to help you, whether it be giving advice on which course to take, advice and tips on jobsearch activities, help with application forms and CVs or helpful hints on interview techniques.
Our staff are also experienced in specialised areas like literacy and numeracy difficulties, dyslexia screening and challenging behaviour.
Initial Assessment
An Intial Assessment is a brief test that aims to identify a learners english and maths abilities against national averages. An Intital Assessment is a great tool for allowing us to understand what support you require. That way the programme can be specifically tailored to your needs!

What are Key Skills?
Key Skills are skills that you use in everyday life whether it be work or training. Developing your key skills can really help you move forward by boosting your confidence in your own abilities, improving your employability propects and perhaps even helping you move onto futher education.

Whether it’s help with transport costs or childcare costs S&D Training can point you in the right direction and ensure that you get the vital financial support that you require
Childcare Support
If you are applying for one of our LSC funded courses you may be eligible to be reimbursed for any childcare expenses incurred, if your child/children is/are placed with a registered childminder or nursery.
If you are on one of our Jobcentre Plus programmes, subject to certain criteria being met with the Jobcentre and if your child/children is/are placed with a registered childminder or nursery you may be entitled to help with the cost of childcare.

Travel Costs
Help is available for travel costs to and from the S&D Training centres and to work placements. Please contact us for further information.

We provide a free bus service for learners with pick up points in the following areas:
